Great Quotes - Words of Wit and Wisdom

You and I have a rendezvous with destiny. We will preserve for our children this, the last best hope of man on earth, or we will sentence them to take the first step into a thousand years of darkness. If we fail, at least let our children and our children's children say of us, we justified our brief moment here. We did all that could be done.

-- Ronald Reagan, Referring to America and All Americans in his "A Time for Choosing" Speech.

More than a half century ago, while I was still a child, I recall hearing a number of older people offer the following explanation for the great disasters that had befallen Russia. ‘Men have forgotten God. That’s why all this has happened.’ Since then I have spent well neigh 50 years working on the history of our revolution …. If I were asked today to formulate as concisely as possible the main cause of the ruinous revolution that swallowed up some 60 million of our people, I could not put it more accurately than to repeat: "Men have forgotten God. That’s why all this has happened."

-- Alexander Solszhenitsyn

It can not be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded, not by religionists, but by Christians; not on religions, but on the Gospel of Jesus Christ. For this very reason peoples of other faiths have been afforded asylum, prosperity and freedom of worship here.

Patrick Henry, March 23, 1775 at the Second Virginian Convention
given at St. John’s Church in Richmond, Virginia.

The United States of America is the greatest country in the world and a gift from Jesus Christ. It was founded on HARD WORK and GODLY VALUES and it has been HIJACKED by Luciferian, blood-sucking PARASITES both from ABOVE and BELOW. It's time rip the leeches of off Lady Liberty...with an ice pick.

--Johnny Cirucci, American Patriot

A wise man's heart directs him toward the right, but a foolish man's heart directs him toward the left.

-- Solomon, Ecclesiastes 10:2

Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy; its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery.

-- Winston Churchill

Want of foresight, unwillingness to act when action would be simple and effective, lack of clear thinking, confusion of counsel until the emergency comes, until self-preservation strikes its jarring gong - these are the features which constitute the endless repetition of history.

Winston Churchill

Above all, we must realize that no arsenal, or no weapon in the arsenals of the world, is so formidable as the will and moral courage of free men and women. It is a weapon our adversaries in today's world do not have.

-- Ronald Reagan

Political Correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical, liberal minority and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

-- Unknown

-- Aristotle

Why is it that, among men, physical courage is a trait so plenteous yet moral courage is a trait so rare?

-- Mark Twain

By removing the Bible from schools we would be wasting so much time and money in punishing criminals and so little pains to prevent crime. Take the Bible out of our schools and there would be an explosion in crime.

-- Benjamin Rush

Underlying most arguments against the free market is a lack of belief in freedom itself.

-- Milton Friedman

We sleep soundly in our beds because rough men stand ready in the night to visit violence on those who would do us harm.

-- George Orwell

To compel a man to subsidize with his taxes the propagation of ideas which he disbelieves and abhors is sinful and tyrannical.

-- Thomas Jefferson

Liberals claim to want to give a hearing to other views, but then are shocked and offended to discover that there are other views.

-- William F. Buckley Jr

Liberals, it has been said, are generous with other peoples' money, except when it comes to questions of national survival when they prefer to be generous with other people's freedom and security.

-- William F. Buckley Jr

Do not blame Caesar, blame the people of Rome who have so enthusiastically acclaimed and adored him and rejoiced in their loss of freedom and danced in his path and gave him triumphal processions. Blame the people who hail him when he speaks in the Forum of the ‘new, wonderful, good society’ which shall now be Rome’s, interpreted to mean: more money, more ease, more security, more living fatly at the expense of the industrious.

Marcus Tullius Cicero

To Err is Human, To forgive is Divine; however, neither are U.S. Marine Corps Policy.

The brave have always defined what the rest of us wish to be. But bravery is misunderstood. It is not the absence of fear, but the will to overcome it.

Government is good at one thing: It knows how to break your legs, hand you a crutch, and say, "See, if it weren't for the government, you wouldn't be able to walk."

The atheist cannot find God for the same reason a thief can't find a police officer.

-- G.K. Chesterton

You can ignore reality, but you can’t ignore the consequences of ignoring reality.

-- Ayn Rand

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

--C.S. Lewis

No man's life, liberty, or property is safe while the Legislature is in session.

The welfare of humanity is always the alibi of tyrants.

In America, freedom and liberty are not luxuries afforded by our elected officials at the whim of their political ambitions. Freedom is not a gift from congress, the White House or the Supreme Court...

It is a gift from a 'free will' God, protected by our founding documents known as our Charters of Freedom, and paid for with the blood of heroes who give all in defense of these concepts. An undying belief in a 'free will' God is the cornerstone of all freedom and liberty, period...

This is why leftists insist upon a false premise of 'separation of church and state,' a term or phrase which does not appear anywhere in our nation’s founding documents. The aim is to separate morality and ethics from government, leaving in place an immoral, unethical and unrestrained government free to rule over all mankind for benefit of their own tyrannical ambitions...

-- Hannelore Morton

The soldier above all other people prays for peace, for he must suffer and bear the deepest wounds and scars of war!

-- Douglas MacArthur

And all the time — such is the tragi-comedy of our situation — we continue to clamor for those very qualities we are rendering impossible. You can hardly open a periodical without coming across the statement that what our civilization needs is more “drive”, or dynamism, or self-sacrifice, or “creativity”. In a sort of ghastly simplicity we remove the organ and demand the function. We make men without chests and expect of them virtue and enterprise. We laugh at honor and are shocked to find traitors in our midst. We castrate and bid the geldings be fruitful.

-- C.S. Lewis

It is when people forget God that tyrants forge their chains.

-- Patrick Henry

The Constitution only gives people the right to pursue happiness. You have to catch it yourself.

-- Benjamin Franklin

The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why.

-– Mark Twain

Islam makes it incumbent on all adult males, provided they are not disabled and incapacitated, to prepare themselves for the conquest of [other] countries so that the writ of Islam is obeyed in every country in the world. But those who study Islamic Holy War will understand why Islam wants to conquer the whole world…. Those who know nothing of Islam pretend that Islam counsels against war. Those [who say this] are witless. Islam says: Kill all the unbelievers just as they would kill you all! Does this mean that Muslims should sit back until they are devoured by [the unbelievers]? Islam says: Kill them [the non-Muslims], put them to the sword and scatter [their armies].

– Ayatollah Khomeini

Ever since the religion of Islam appeared in the world, the espousers of it…have been as wolves and tigers to all other nations, rending and tearing all that fell into their merciless paws, and grinding them with their iron teeth; that numberless cities are raised from the foundation, and only their name remaining; that many countries, which were once as the garden of God, are now a desolate wilderness; and that so many once numerous and powerful nations are vanished from the earth! Such was, and is at this day, the rage, the fury, the revenge, of these destroyers of human kind.

– John Wesley

Every Democrat constituency group has at least two things in common. They hate us. They despise opposition. That's why they created political correctness. Speech censorship. They hate opposition and they'll do anything they can to eliminate it.

--Rush Limbaugh

As democracy is perfected, the office of the President represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. On some great and glorious day, the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last and the White House will be occupied by a downright fool and complete narcissistic moron.

-- H.L. Mencken (born 1880 - died 1956) journalist, satirist, critic, and Democrat.

Elizabeth's barreness and advanced age--a double symbol of hopelessness--became
the means by which God would announce to the world that nothing is impossible for Him.

― Charles R. Swindoll

Political Language ... is designed to make lies sound truthful and murder respectable, and to give an appearance of solidity to pure wind.

-- George Orwell

A thoughtful mind ... sees not the flag only, but the nation itself...the principles, the truths, the history.

-- Henry Ward Beecher

Put yourself in the way of spiritual allurement.

-- Jonathan Edwards

When once a republic is corrupted, there is no possibility of remedying any of the growing evils but by removing the corruption and restoring its lost principles; every other correction is either useless or a new evil.

-- Thomas Jefferson

If you love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquility of servitude greater than the animating contest for freedom, go home from us in peace. We seek not your counsel, nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you; May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.

― Samuel Adams

There are no hopeless situations; there are only men who have grown hopeless about them.

When speaking with liberals, be calm and always remember: Democrats Shift the subject, Ignore the facts, and if that doesn't work, they begin name calling.

-- Wayne Dupree

What's right is right, even if no one is doing it; what's wrong is wrong, even if everyone is doing it.

-- Unknown

Ah, The United States Army. Finally! Someone who will listen to reason.

-- Armie Hammer; The Lone Ranger

There can be no liberty where the legislative and executive powers are united in the same person, or body of magistrates.

-- 18th-century Political Philosopher, Baron Charles De Montesquieu

God forbid we should ever be twenty years without such a rebellion. The people cannot be all, and always, well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented, in proportion to the importance of the facts they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions, it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty. ...And what country can preserve its liberties, if its rulers are not warned from time to time, that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to the facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is its natural manure.

-- Thomas Jefferson

An unbelieved truth can hurt a man much more than a lie. It takes great courage to back truth unacceptable to our times. There's a punishment for it, and it's usually crucifixion.

― John Steinbeck, East of Eden

Facts are stubborn things; and whatever may be our wishes, our inclinations, or the dictates of our passion, they cannot alter the state of facts and evidence...

-- John Adams, Argument in Defense of the Soldiers in the Boston Massacre Trials, December 1770

Whether you think you can or think you can’t, you’re right.

-- Henry Ford

A totalitarian society can only survive if the male population has been gelded, emasculated and disenfranchised. With this natural bulwark against tyranny removed, the elite can centralize power and pursue collectivist tyranny unopposed. This is why men and masculinity are under assault on every level – and why both men and women should join forces to fight back against this common enemy.

-- Paul Joseph Watson
